Neon is Limited
There's a lot going on. The adventure van is broken. I am wrapping up my final paper for my final class for my MSW program. I went for some awesome hikes. I celebrated my mom's birthday. I got some adulting done (and feel great about it). We've found our favorite local joint - Ilk Lodge (more on this later). Reminds us of The Hop Stop and The Cove on Hamblen. Good music. Positive vibes.
I am reading. I am writing. I am researching. I am thinking.
I am thankful. I am sad. I am angry. I am tired.
Support independent journalists. Buy local. Fight the fight you can. Find community, or build it. As Drew Holcomb sings, Find Your People. Hold them tight. Love them hard. Support their ideas and projects.
You gotta find your people
The ones that make you feel alright
The kind you want to stay up with all night
You got to find your people
The ones that make you feel whole
That won't leave your side when you lose control
The ones that don't let you lose your soul
A few things I've come across that are worth your time.

And this...
"Universal healthcare coverage is the peaceful solution here, so if someone is looking for peaceful solutions, point this out and see if “peaceful solutions” is what they really after, or if they just want sick people to die quietly while very nice human beings with loving families step over whatever dead body just hit the sidewalk on their way to the board meeting."
...
"If those of us with the power to make a peaceful world refuse to make one for others who are struggling to survive, how can we ever expect to live in a peaceful world ourselves?"

"Our online spaces are not ecosystems, though tech firms love that word. They’re plantations; highly concentrated & controlled environments, closer kin to the industrial farming of the cattle feedlot or battery chicken farms that madden the creatures trapped within." – We Need To Rewild The Internet

I wonder if cybertruck drivers are ever like for the price of this car I could've bought 3 that do not look like this

Photo of the Week
Came across this shot I took at Crater Lake National Park in 2018. One of the most stunning places I've ever visited. A blue that is impossible to capture in a photograph, so go see it for yourself if you get the opportunity.
